    Hey,

I have just finished setting up a new poker survey game on my website (Finally!!). I would appreciate some feedback on it i.e. are the game rules and structure explained clearly enough, is it easy to navigate, login, create account, create private group and so on.

I have done a small bit of testing on it so far but only with a few users i set up myself so if you caome across any technical problems i'd greatly appreciate it if you let me know about them.

Each game runs from Wednesday to Wednesday but i thought i'd start the first week a few days early in case of any teething problems.

    The game link is http://www.irishpokeronline.com/the_nuts_game/the_nuts.php

    Thanks for your help :)

Pretty neat thing. I liked the poker questions, but the personal questions I could do without. I guess it depends on what your aim/purpose for the survey is. If it is to get overall poker information then fine, but if it is designed for strtegy and poker playing then it could do without those other questions.

But still very cool and I will complete it every week. Are you going to keep it every week or change it to daily eventually? That is probably a lot of work for you, but would be great as well.

Oh and the Whats in the hole? game would be great if you actually got to submit an answer. By the way, this is very neat. I tried the week 5 one so far and picked J8, J9 spades...J10 spades was the answer. This was such a cool activity and made me talk the whole thing through. The underbet on the turn when the K came made me verify that the hand. VERY COOL>>>PROPS TO YOU!

Hey, thanks for the feedback. I have already done the questions up for the next 3 weeks. Week 2 has a couple of personal questions but from then on its getting hard core poker questions. Week 3 playes out a hand from pre-flop to the river, each question for the next phase of the hand.

It will be staying as a weekly thing for the forseable future, just not enough hours in the day to make it a daily thing :D

What is the data being used for? Is it being passed/sold on to 3rd parties?

Stung!! I bumped my own post. It had gone down the page and only one person had left any feedback and i really need it. It could be that their was no feebdack left coz everything is perfect on the site but i doubt that. With it being a beta run i just need a few people to try things out beacuse everything makes sense to me on the game but then i created it.

I was wondering when someone would notice the connection. Seein as how the game is called "The Nuts" and the posters name was "The Nuts":D

Coudlnt you have used a web-proxy or something. You should know this place is filled with e-detectives, with their ip loggers and tracerts.

I'd help you out and test whatever the hell it is for 15 minutes, IF you got rid of the requirement of having to register first.

I'd try it if i didnt have to register and log in(because thats a big ordeal).

    Here's the Privacy Policy http://www.irishpokeronline.com/poker_website/privacy_policy.php

    and terms and Conditions http://www.irishpokeronline.com/poker_website/terms_of_use.php

And about setting up an account, i know this can be a pain in the ass but the whole game points system needs you to be a registered user so that the points can be stored and calculated and so on.

I've no interest in winning the €50. I'll test the game out if you want. Set up 'Boards' as a user with no password, and anyone of us here who want to can test it for you. If I win a prize, donate it to the 1percent fund.

I had already read them before posting, it seems a little unclear though.

A simple one line answer will suffice.

I was thinking the same thing. The privacy policy doesn't say anything about the data thats collated on your site. It's hazy to put it mildly.

I'll change it if you think its unclear. It does say " Your email address will not be available to any third parties. Your email address will only be used by Irish Poker Online to send you reminder information if you request it." which i meant to imply that your info will not be sold on but i can see that this isint made perfectly clear.

About the €50 prize, i know its a bit lame but i cant afford any more at the moment. If alot of people start playing the game i'll be able to increase it in the future but its really just to give a bit of an incentive to join up.

    Clear as mud.

Bananna Man, for that stunt I'd like you to remove all the advertising from your sig please. Users have been sitebanned for such shilling. I think I'm being quite lenient on you.

I don't mean to be over touchy about this, as I'm in the Marketing game myself, but you do need to adhere to Data Protection Act.

On the face of it, as you are also 'The Nuts'.... Banana Man in the Poker World, could be Orange Man in the Gardening World, Apple Man in the Sports World, Kiwi Man in the Business World... and Hey Presto, we got a data collection bureau on the go.... I've seen it done.

You don't need one, you just need to get the data protection act and stick to it. http://www.dataprotection.ie/docs/Home/4.htm

You only will need a solicitor if you don't.
