I am interested to hear people’s quotes for solar panels and whether the Company are approved yet for the Greener home grants. I would especially like to hear from people who have put in solar and any advice on the supplier, how beneficial the system is etc? What size panels needed for house of 6 etc? I'll start off the thread with the two quotes I've received.

Interested in your offer however I need to understand the full cost.

Installation? your vat rate is 21% so I assume price doesnt include installation? If you dont provide can you recommend a registered installer as I understand SEI wont pay if DIY install?

I have a dual coil tank so no need for a tank.

Pump, controller, pressure vessel? Can you supply?

Can you supply details of estimated heat output? How many people will it serve?

    Hi Nordic,

Do you supply panels rather than the tubes? The reason I ask is that they are going on the front on the house and the panels look better.

I haven't got the full breakdown as my system was only commissioned lately.
But as soon as I can I will post the total, I can vouch for the installers though, they were really good and very professional.
I have been checking the tank over the last few days and it is sitting at 70 deg c most of the time.

Sorry if this is 'off topic' but I'm wonderin, is it possible to get solar in for heating if I already have a dual system (Solid fuel & LPG) ? We're concentrating heavilly on the solid fuel as LPG, like Oil is incredibly expensive at the moment...

    Cheers..

    Fatboy.
