Well you could check out iftn.ie and contact the production companies on that site. Look what's in production and pre-production. Just print off your cv and send it off. Then follow up on it with a phone call 2 weeks later.

I got talking to the AD of a production I was working on a few months ago and asked him how he got into the business. He never went to Film school but would ring up production companies and let people know he was willing to help out. And one day someone gave him a chance. He now works with a few production companies doing mini series' and commericals.

So give that a go. Also if you know of anyone who knows someone in the industry, it makes it so much easier to get a chance. ;)

Also check out Filmbase in Templebar. They have a noticeboard there and you could either put up a notice that you're available or might see something that catches your eye. You just have to be persistant!!

You could also try your luck with RTE although they only seem to take on people with degrees from UCD.
