Have only being play online but fancy a night out to somewhere as local as I can get to ashbourne, the white house on ashbourne road have a big sign up saying vegasnights holdem tourneys so Im gonna try there.

    1. How does the money work, are they cash games/tourneys/both and is there a reason why one would be better then the other

    2. How does it work at pub closing time in tourneys, is it deal time or is there set % split according to chip counts?

    3. Do many lads have a pint at it or is it all lemonades?

    4. I figure entry fees/blind levels/raising levels will all be posted wherever I go but is there a ruling list/table etiquette somewhere I could have a read of posted anywhere online?

    thanks,,,

I have played a number of VN tourneys and they seem to be fairly well run and i would recommend playing in one of these to get started playing live games. See answers to your questions below

They are usually tourneys with one rebuy.

    2. How does it work at pub closing time in tourneys, is it deal time or is there set % split according to chip counts?
They have blind levels set so that they generally finish before or just at pub closing time. I have only seen a chip count once and this was a few months ago now but that was before it was changed to only one rebuy or top up.

    3. Do many lads have a pint at it or is it all lemonades?
Up to yourself, a good few lads will have a pint and you do get some drunks at final table. Does not really matter as long as you know what u r doing.

    4. I figure entry fees/blind levels/raising levels will all be posted wherever I go but is there a ruling list/table etiquette somewhere I could have a read of posted anywhere online?
All information will be given on night. Table etiquette you will probably find on here somewhere. Just really about having good manners and dont slow roll people as that aint good.
