Hi there, I have a problem that I hope some of you might be able to help me with...

One of my POP3 email accounts is getting flooded with "Returned" and "Undeliverable" mail. 1700 this morning. What I dont understand is the return mail that I am recieving is to an email account and domain that this version of OUtlook express doesnt have as an "account" neither does the email server. So I have three questions I hope someone can help me with...

1/ How can I stop this problem happening?
2/ How is it happening? (receiving email from domains neither the server nor Outlook should be accessing)
3/ WHat measures are needed to ensure this doesnt happen again?

    Thanks alot

    Peace

amonst other causes someone has probably spoofed your address they got it from a web site or spammers list OR someone you have sent email to may have a virus

you can't stop that happening , many people have two email addresses, one is for sites/people they trust, the other is the one that is used for new sites and visible on web pages and they accept that it will be a spam magnet and don't bother downloading emails sent to it

if using windows have a look at thunderbird / spambayes
