Vista Beta Removal

    Hey all,

    I installed windows vista beta 2 on my laptop today. Unfortunately it has really slowed down my machine....unbearably slow like.

    Could someone tell me whats the best way to remove vista and go back to good ole xp pro??

    I selected the upgrade option when I installed vista...everything is on the same partition. Is there anyway of doing this without losing all my programes, files etc etc??

    Nope. You'll have to format the drive and reinstall XP.

    Back up your stuff and reinstall. Take this opportunity to create a separate partition for your os, so you can reinstall the os whenever you want, without losing your data

    I think your screwed mate. You will have to restore XP by what ever means available to you.

    A tip for the future... Image your drive before you do stuff like that, simply because it allows you to restore your machine back to the way you like without building it from scratch.

    A good tool which I use and could not do without is Acronis. The easiest and best backup/tool I have used.
