Thinking of becoming a solicitor

Thinking of studying for the FE1 exams. I was considering doing it in two parts, four exams at a time as I work fulltime. I was wondering what combination of subjects to do ie a broad mix as I don't want to do all the perceived easier ones together. Griffith college has been recommended to me, I don't intend to start until November. If anyone has any hints or tips I would be really grateful. Thanks.

Knew someone who did the exams. He got time off from work to do it in 2 parts.
At the time the hardest bit for him was trying to get an apprenticeship. Haven't seen him in a while so I don't know what happened. I think he went to Griffith College. It was his third career, is all I say is go for it if it's what you want. :)
