    5/10 6-max

I should be viewed as TAG.

    Action
I open utg for 45 with AhKh, 3 callers, and the BB makes it 245 to go, I push.

    How about it?

    Indubitably.

I'm interested in the reasoning behind the push though.

PS: How do you liek braised steak?

hmmm, i don't like pushing with AK PF in cash.... that's just me...

There are only a few hands that you have in bad shape, AQ, AJ, A10.

After that you are flipping a coin!

The only way i'm making this play is if I have a firm read on the villain, i.e loves Arag.

You won the hand, im just curious what the villain had?

It does look like a bet that does not want a caller, that is unless he has AA-1010

He cant call without AA (maybe KK). There is 4*45 and 1*245 in there. At this level mostly 3-betting = AA. I raised UTG, I'm pretty tight, and when reraised I push. It looks real strong right? (I also have 1 A and 1 K, so its less likely that he has AA/KK)

If I fold out QQ- all the time, and KK even half the time then this is good ... and also - since he could be on a squeeze (they are theiving b*stards at this level), I could actually have the best hand, but I prefer to win it now.

So I should have a lot of fold equity, and there is a lot of dead money.

Course - he could have AA ... and I'm kinda fvcked.

That canteen is horrible. I feel ill everytime after eating the dried up end bits.

It really depends on the situation Fuzz, last night Fitz Game.. I get QQ on the bb, button ppts for around ten, i make it 35.... he pots.... ehehehehe, I fold and show QQ, he flips over AA :)

So in answer to your question, no, i don't.

I can see where your line of thinking on this hand is and if your table image is as respectful as you say it is, this is a fine bet.

He may well have AKo! and will drop to this bet.

Sorry to Hijack your thread like this Fuzz, on that QQ hand Above, before I raise I was 99.9% sure he had AA based on his body language, i wanted my chips to confirm my reads by info betting.

Should i have flat called this bet as my implied odds are good if i hit a Q, Villain had around 350, I had about 400.

btw - Kinaldo owes me a pint! hehehe - there was a bum deal two players were dealt KK and AK i was dealt AA :( maybe the poker gods were saving me from a K high flop ;)

heh, right can't see smilies and my sarcasim detector is out of batteries ;)

I was in there last night up until around 3. am, no value at the tables so i left and headed for the Fitz

I dont just like this move, I think its neccessary to compete with thinking players. If you only 3bet with AA KK then its almost impossible for players to make substantial equity mistakes in these scenarios.

    Results:
Well this time villain truly was evil and managed to have AA in his hand and of course insta-called.

However - I hit a flush, and beat him back down.

Samba: if you already know that he has AA, then you absolutely should just smooth call to try to hit a Q to stack hiim.

The tough part of your plan is getting away from QQ on a 642 rainbow flop.
