ARTE German and French-no signal

    Thomson Free to air Satellite receiver
    Hotbird 13 degrees east
    PQ90% SS 60%

    The satelliet box has been reset and it selects many channels
    ARD ZDF RTL BBC World etc.

    The strange thing is that just a few channels including the 2 ARTE are listed,
    ( channels 10 and 11 ) but says no signal.

    The dish was relocated and teh picture quality with most chanels is perfect,
    as a German speaker I would love to watch ARTE;

    can anyone provide any insight please

    Its probably moved.

    Only ARTE France is on 13E now, 11623 V. It has both German and French soundtracks, however

    If you're looking for German channels, 19E might be a better choice - unless you have that setup for channels which aren't on 13E. You get all the RTL Group, all the Pro7Sat1 group channels, all the regional ARD channels, MTV, Eurosport, etc, etc in German. And ARTE Germany ;)
