    any better options than this
    dvd-r media
or would this even be viable, as I'm mainly looking for HQ media to do some DVD backups.
Google throws up some pros & cons regarding verbatim & DVD burning but nothing definitive, so I'd appreciate some confirmation.

    @ possible sources.
bad xperiences with ebay so that's out.

Any leading electrical retail store would be great, but I'm open to http options, provided I can get a good deal, with the media & P&P.

    cheers in advance

Sure? I just got 100 full-face printables with Ritek G05 dye delivered for £20/€30 from this seller. If you email him first he'll post you two cakes of 50 for the stated £7.50 p&p...

I guess our search engine is on the fritz then, I tried ''DVD'' & didn't get a single hit.

    was thinking about
Ritek DVD-R 8X Grade A Full Face Printable from Just Media
    http://www.justmedia.ie/dvd-r.htm

although my actual burner is among the list regarding ''Datawrite Grey 16x DVD-R''
    http://www.mediawrite.ie/16xdvd-r.htm

@ peckerhead, got burned too many times to go back, even for a possible bargain.

Just Media are opening a new shop in Ballymun Shopping Centre tomorrow at 9:30. They promise bargains. May be worth a look.

Won't allow searches for three characters or less. Try searching for DVD* next time. :-)

Can't take all the credit, saw it as a suggestion in someone's sig

It was my first time ordering from them, and they were excellent from start to finish — prompt reply to my combined shipping query, next-day dispatch w/ confirmation email + positive feedback left for me, follow-up email to check whether they'd arrived — which they had, within a week, excellently packaged.

Up to yourself, of course, but €30 for 100 delivered to your door vs. €38 + a trip to Finglas/Ballymun? Unless you live/work nearby...?

there is also the fact that I don't have paypal or a credit/laser card so a sterling draft will prolly set me back, who knows how much. :(

@ fitz, how many discs are in the harvey packs?

25 discs in a pack ,and they are top notch , you will get cheaper discs but if you are looking for a disc that you can read in a few years time these are the ones
