    From http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=363333&cc=5739

36 to go for the Baxinho to reach 1,000 goals. I like Miranda's quote at the end
"When Romario scores 35 goals, he must stop," said Miranda. "I'm sure that Romario's 1,000th goal will be scored wearing a Vasco shirt here at Sao Januario."

I'd say Romario will be well into Miami. I would assume the club will allow him all the privilages he has enjoyed in Brazil over his carrer (such as training when he chooses, partying the night before games and time off for Carnivál) and bar an almighty bustup with Miami FC (which is possible  ) I can see the loan move being benificial to both parties. I wouldn't rule out a call up to the national squad for the World Cup either!!

I'm nearly sure all his 1000 goals have been recorded, unlike another Brazillian goal machine who passed the 1k goal mark(and against amatuer defenders)

It is indeed, and he's counting that as a goal towards the 1000 :p

I love Romario, what a character!

I remember when i was young i wanted to be him so bad.I used to run like him, with the chest out, and flick the ball with my toe. All my friends hated it but that was how Romario did it so i had no choice, my friend was Bebeto.

    Great days.
