    hopefully this link works...

    http://http://configure.euro.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?c=ie&cs=iedhs1&fb=1&l=en&oc=D04115&rbc=D04115&s=dhs&sbc=iedhsrsdimen_1100_3

Then get him to pick up a cheap dvd writer ... should work out at sub 450 :)

note ... only a 90 day warranty and yes its a celeron ...

alternatively get him to buy a second hand machine ... can be a great option / great saving

if you're trying dell keep an eye on www.dell.ie/outlet (hit the express shopping link & you get a table of pcs available... took me a while to spot that, otherwise trying to navigate the site is a bit of a pain in the neck). What's there thends to change quite frequently only thing is prices don't include vat & delivery & you'll have to get a monitor separately

Dell outlet are offering free delivery at the moment. Don't forget to order a monitor aswell but the systems include keyboard/mouse/speakers. They may also charge delivery on the monitor as the free delivery covers the system only.

aldi have pc unit for sale,549euro ,celeron, cpu. with dvdrw,r,+ burner and tv tuner card built in.512meg ram.you,d still have to buy monitor, keyboard and mouse. Its not much use for games, like doom3,far cry etc.if you go for dell you,ll have to specify dvd writer,if you are buying the 600e pc, you,ll pay extra, for dvd, writer.
