Hey all, I don't have the money or space for gym equipment, and the nearest gym is far, far away from my house (i live in the country).

I guess i'm just wondering how someone like me could help tone up without the aid of this kind of equipment?

    Press Ups
    Decline Press Ups
Dips using chairs or what not
Chin ups using a cheap bar from Argos or if you are ultra hard-core a door frame.
Upright row using a sturdy table

Those should do a good bit.

You could always buy a canvas bag and make a sand bag out of it and train using that by doing shoulder presses and the likes. Its very tough but good training!

Hey all, basically i'm a tall, lean 18 year old looking to tone up my muscles (most notably the arms and upper body area). I don't have the money or space for gym equipment, and the nearest gym is far, far away from my house (i live in the country).

Look at the diet stickies for information on losing bodyfat - that's largely achieved with your food. Sounds like you need to build up a little too though, so you'll need to do resistance exercises. Weights are handy but non-essential, your muscles don't care if you are lifting a 50lb dumbell or a bag with 50lbs of rocks and sand in it - they'll build up either way. Also, pistols (like one legged squats with the other leg straight out in front) are challenging. I know there are people around who could probably give you loads of stuff on bodyweight exercises* that'll keep you growing for a while. That, combined with a little fat burning will give you the toned look you're after.

*ahem, step in any time Emmet

Very MAtt Fury and the guy looks terrible however, all exercises do work quite well and i would suggest using dyna bands as they cost very little and take up no space.

Also post your diet!!!! And current training schedule
