7800gtx 256 or 7900gt

what would you guys recommend 2 x 7800gtx 256's in sli or 2 x 7900 gt's???

price and preformance wise??

2x 7900gts

They are both pretty much the same performance wise with the 7900gt just edging it and the 7900gt runs cooler, smaller heatsink and costs less.

The 7900gts overclock better because they are 90nm and they are cheaper and they are around 10% better than a 7800gtx so, I would get 2 7900gts;)

i have 1 7800gtx on the way already so i wouldnt be looking to buy 2 unless it was 2 7900gts or gtx's

On a more serious note, I don't use them and am not gaming at the mo' so don't need the speed/power. My waste is generally another persons gain though

I just got my 7900gt. Currently running at 550/1500 speeds, and hitting 20k on 3dmark03 on a 3700+ @ 2.41ghz, 1GB RAM

EDIT: Hit 560/1580!!!! For a 330 euro card. That's nearly GTX speeds!

Yup, The memory voltmod is the pencil mod, and the gpu voltmod needs a 50k resistor,

But amazing overclocks, 7800gtxs needed liquid nitrogen to do those speeds:eek:
