Shrimp is that a photo of your crotch?

not exactly, it's the crotch of the jeans. It;s the best part as it contains the most light and dark for contrast!

Nice photo shrimp, althoughh the WB seems a little strange, as though you had it set to indoor lighting, and it came out a little overly blue, if u get me?

Anyway, the photo kinda reminds me of something you'd see in a magazine relating to an aftershave ad for men or something.

...and the spot metering on the croch to draw a female audience eh ;)

Because im curious and you're happy to oblige a fellow forumite at no loss to yourself?

That is of course unless the image has been photoshopped to hell and back...

i dont actually have the original here on this laptop.

but, what i did was, turned the light off in the room and used the light form the computer screen, hence the colour, and I changed the green channel using the curves tool, finally added some contrast with the burn/dodge tool.. :)

i was happy with it, i hope u are too.. I'll try post the orig. later...

Thanks progen! & zillah for sharing an interest!

Cool. Although I think theres a difference between dodge/burn and contrast. Contrast is an overall tonal adjustment, while burn/dodge is localised.

yes i know I've discussed this before, but by darkening an area and lightening another, you are essentially creating contrast.

It actually came out pretty well, got photo shrimp! I look at my next pair of jeans a bit different now! :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,645 ✭✭✭Shrimp

Cool, it helps when the jeans already have a colour to them, like a green hue or something..

Some really great shots up already... I just can't think of anything for this one, might give it a miss, or search through some oldies,... cant decide.
