Graphics Card Help

    hi i was wondering if someone could help me out not the best on graphics card stuff. i currently have an nvidia riva tnt card see attachment and here is a pic of it too. now my problem is a dont know what type it agp pci etc. if anyone could help me and recommend a new one to get i would be very grateful. my system is a gateway pc, 1.25gig ram, amd athlon 850mhz processor. i know its probably not a great idea to upgrade this old comp but it does me fine for all i need but would like a new gpu for it.

    i'd say that's an agp card. to be sure you should look at the slot it was in.

    agp slots are brown, whereas pci are white and more numerous.

    Yeah it's AGP, the TNT's were mostly AGP although their were a few PCI versions as well.

    Exactly what are you looking to do with it is what I'd ask if you want it for games or just something a bit more modern.

    If you want a modern GPU but something that isnt very powerful but it will run some basic 3D stuff then this GeForce 6200 will do.

    If you want something will a litte more kick in it's step then this GeForce 6600GT would be a good choice there is no point in getting anything faster as your CPU is not powerful enough to keep the GPU's busy.
