hey, i am trying to find out a bit about pharmacy, like how demanding it is. whats the standard of chemistry and biology (compared to the leaving cert). i have applied to study it as a mature student and have an interview coming up. unfortunately i didnt do chemistry or biology in the leaving so i just want to know what i might be getting into! which subjects are the toughest and what would be regarded as the core subjects?
any sort of an evaluation of the course would be extremly helpful.
    thanks

If you turn up to your lectures and put in the work you should be grand. I don't think even having junior cert science is necessary if the pharmacy class who started the same year as I did are anything to go by (I'm in fourth year). Honestly I shared classes with them again this year and the ignorance was astounding.

I know for science there is a week long chemistry course before the term starts for those who haven't done chemistry before. I don't know if pharmacy do this too.
