Hi, my brother's coming back to work here after finishing his leaving cert (equivelant) in South Africa. He's only been over there for two years. He never worked whilst living here though, and therefore doesn't know what his PPS number is - is this easy enough to get?

Are there any other details that he may want to cover, stuff that I'm just not thinking of now?? Are employers open to foreign letters of recommendation? He is an experienced cocktail barman and rugby coach but will he be hounded a bit for not having Irish references?
