got it off EA downloader yesterday. fairly nice tbh. i'm liking it... even though it's not quite as nice as steam

Anyone any details on 1.22... fixes etc?
From EA:
We're still hard at work on version 1.3, which will see the addition of some additional, sought-after changes. When we have more information to share with you on 1.3 we will, in the meantime, please find below the list of fixes in 1.22:

* Improved Server Stability
* Adjusted handling of the Tiger attack chopper
* Increased delay for aiming reticule when going from movement to prone on all support weapons
* Adjusted deviation on MG36 and PKM to be in line with other support weapons
* Increased rpm from 600 to 900 on the P90
* Fixed Lock on error on certain Oil towers
* Fixed a Great Wall Exploit
* Fixed exploits on Dragon Valley and Karkand

So have they made the PKM more inaccurate. I have less and less patience for this game with all these bloody patches

I downloaded and installed the incremental 1.22 above. Thing is it kinda froze half way through installing(ctrl+alt+del...programme not responding) So i closed it and went to install again.

Then it said i have to have version 1.21 for the 1.22 to work. I've had patch 1.21 installed since it came out

So i tried the game just incase and it was loading on our server, Then when i went to click 'JOIN' the game went back to the main menu saying something like ..you need to install an offical version, please roll back to original version''...Or something along the lines of this.

I am totally lost as to what the problem is so im downloading the full 1.22(372mb from EA) and reinstalling bf2.

Has anyone had anything similar to this. Tbh i've never had a problem patching BFV or Bf2 until now.:mad:


ed: Just ran the game there to see the message i get....

This server only allows players with unmodified content to join.
Revert your version of BF2 to the current offical Version to join.

Did anyone else use the above link? Incremental that is.

Should I have rebooted after patching?

I ran the incremental 1.22 (I was on 1.21), then started BF2 straight after that, went on multiplayer and what do you know... nearly all servers in red and pop-up msg "You are running an older version that the server" when I tried the IP connect to TiG:Boards.ie.

Didn't have time to boot and try again last night, so I'll try again tonight, but anyone had this or one similar yet?

I never bother with mirrors. I just let xfire get it for me. Im never in a new hurry to get the new patches anyway till most servers move over to it and that takes a day or two. I have the patch now and still havent appalied it yet. I`ll wait another day or so.
