    Hey guys,
Im buying a set of dimarzio's for my new baby and have the oppurtunity to pickup a steve special and an air-norton together for just over 100 quid, but the air-norton is 'f-spaced'. What exactly does this mean?, Can it require any guitar modification to install?

Edit: The baby is my new guitar, not a child or such like.

Double edit: Oh I found out, its the pole distance for guitars with strat type trems. Google prooved fruitful second time round.

fender space or somethin... back in teh day day...

but tis pretty much the different spacing between the pole pieces in the pickups, there a few mm wider to compinsate for the floating trems or most tremolo bridges....

Its not completly necessary for the neck pickup but in the bridge its better to have if u gota trem there...

    so its a ok
