Utorrent, setting upload speed

i recently switched over to utorrent and i am trying to limit my upload. i know you can set the upload speed under preferences - appearance - interface. i did this and changed the upload to 15kb/s (to distribute among all active torrents, i.e, 5kb/s each with 3 torrents running), but it seems to take no effect and uses…

i recently switched over to utorrent and i am trying to limit my upload. i know you can set the upload speed under preferences - appearance - interface. i did this and changed the upload to 15kb/s (to distribute among all active torrents, i.e, 5kb/s each with 3 torrents running), but it seems to take no effect and uses unlimited upload unless i individually allocate each torrents upload by right clicking on it. any ideas?

Right click the Utorrent status bar where it states the upload/download speeds...this will give you a list of global upload/download speeds to set.
