With the Flat season under way i thought it might be useful to start a thread on the up and coming jockeys to watch this season.

My 3 are Saleem Golam, Emmet Butterly and Chris Hayes, this season looks like being a big one for all 3. I'll be Interest to see where Chris Hayes rides this year, have a suspicion we may see quite a big of him in England.

James Doyle if he takes care of his claim.Or else he will be another A McCarthy who won alot of races with his claim and now he finds it hard to get a winner.

Mater K what do you think about Kinane this year. I think he's usually on one of Oxx's horses. he may be just past his best though

People have been saying exactly the same as you for the last 5 years and he just keeps coming back and doing the business. Remember when he was dropped by O'Brien as stable jockey, everybody thought that would be the end of him. Obviously his age will take it's toll eventually but from what I seen of him out in Dubai there still looks like being another year or two in the old dog yet.

George Baker is the most underrated jockey riding anywhere at the moment. Butterly looks like he could make it, especially as he has still most of his claim to lose.
