Sony DVD recorder Model number:210 is 239euro in Currys at the moment,305euro in argos for the same one.I know its not the cheapest recorder on the market, but I had the philips 3305 (149euro in xtravision), and I'm still mentally scarred by the experience:mad:

I don't know if its a good thing (bargain) or a bad thing(dodge) but they had a pallet of these things for sale in the Sony Centre Liffey Valley for €199 about two weeks ago - they were repackaged as refurbs but still came with Sony warranty. I was going to get one but got the philips meself and have not had problems. Only using it to tape Lost, MOTD and MotoGP though.
