Bought the Godfather game yesterday thinking that even though it#s not a 360 game it's bound to be supported but it's not and there's no sign of a patch on xbox live (despite the manager in GAME telling me it'd play fine on a 360).
Anyone any idea if this is planned to be supported on 360's ?

Bring it back and just put a deposit on the 360 version, doubt it will be supported because of the that version!

I think most of the later Xbox games won't be converted to work with the 360. The earliest ones are the easiest to convert, as the later ones were made using esoteric shortcuts to squeeze more power out of the big green beast.

Pissed me off no end, I had to trade in Battlefield 2 because of it.

This pretty much sums up the likelihood of the Xbox version being patched to work for the 360..

I can't understand why people just dont check the compatibility list before buying games

Because the GAME employee told him it'd work?
