I've got a laptop with fairly skimpy harddrive space, so this sounds pretty good for storing all our excess music, photos, videos etc...... sorry if this is a dumb question, but would it be OK to use with a laptop?

As long as the laptop has got a USB connection (preferably USB 2) then it should be fine.

I looked at the specs on the Medion.co.uk website and they say the PC internal drive is a Seagate, so I'd guess the same's true for the external drive.

Since now that Hard drives are a commodity, most company's would and do not rely on one supplier so it could be either or other HDD makers.

Excluding delivery, when you factor that in it's more expensive. Plus I wouldn't rank Maxtor disks against either Seagate or WD. If it's a Western Digital in Aldi then that's far better than the Maxtor, I don't have much experience with Seagate disks but I've never had a problem. Maxtors on the other hand...... :(

The overclockers disk is £92.77, which is about €135 excluding delivery. Is it reallly €35 delivery from them? That's madness unless you're buying lots of stuff at the same time.

I don't think the Aldi offer will be beaten by anything available in shops right now, and possibly not even online.

The delivery was £22stg. I poped one in the basket, proceeded to checkout. Converted the final price, including VAT and delivery, via XE.com and it came to €171. £22stg for delivery is crazy.

That Aldi offer is excellent when you consider the three-year warranty...:)
