Either will refer you to a specialist in the area.

Do not put off going to either a dentist or doctor to get this sorted. It is more than likely nothing but early detection and treatment is key.

    Best of luck with it.

Lately i am really concerned about this because i have a sore gland in my neck and i am feeling really dizzy - when i was born i had to get somthing removed in my neck because i had this really high fever, i think, and ive read up on this that i am at a very high risk of cancer because of that.

I went to my doctor years ago when i started getting that feeling in my throat, he said it was just swelling and gave me this spray stuff but it didnt make any difference and i never went back to him. I h8 going to the doctors because i feel like am wasting there time.

Perhaps the dentist might be better to visit. You should make the appointment as soon as you can. This is obviously worrying you and for your own piece of mind you should see a medical professional ASAP.

There are specialists called oral doctors who are both doctors and dentists. They mostly work out of dental hospitals like the dublin dental school and hospital. Probably best to go to you doctor or dentist who will make an appropriate refferal.

get yourself to the dublin dental hospital immediately!! The symptoms don't sound good. It costs 60euro to see a dentist in the a+e there and the oral medicine department is in right beside it.

Best to get a referal first cause the proper specialist my be unavailable ( often happens) if you have a referal letter you will see the correct person straight off. Also seeing your own dentist will make sure you need specialist advice and that its not just something common and totally harmless.

There is no reason to worry. Go see a dentist, in general its better to go to a dentist if you have something inside your mouth than a doctor. They can refer you on if they are concerned.
