    my friend got a sager and had to pay like 700 euros worth in vat, but it was also like a $4000 computer

    Nice, good price but as bullhammer mentioned you probably will get caught for Vat, and chances are you will have to ship it to states if it acts up.
    Also x700 not exactly cutting edge. Check out rockdirect, based in the uk they sell clevo based systems, bit dearer for similar but a lot nearer home if you have problems.

    Bought a laptop off them before(Xtreme Ti)-sound to deal with, at the time was vat registered, so did'nt have to pay vat either:)

    This model is more or less the same, but waaaaaay better graphics, have a 7800 GTX in my XPS gen2, and its the dogs.

    and as you can see this one here is the same specs again and there is now VAT from the UK i was about to order this at xmas but in the end i went for the DELL XPS M170 which i have to say with the 7800 gtx is the dogs RUFF RUFF .anyhow heres the link
