Thinking about getting Clearwire's ClearPerformer product for our house in the Coombe, anyone had good/bad experiences with them?

You can probably search for it. A few long threads about people bitching about Clearwire. If you don't have a phone line or need broadband fast and don't play games, don't do P2P, don't mind random application of traffic shaping every so often, then it's good. ADSL including line rental is cheaper and better so there's very little reason to use Clearwire.

You are better off going with one of the fixed lined operators unless you are only going to use if for mail and browsing the net. They don't allow P2P traffic. Also they would prefer if people didn't stream audio or video. In some cases they are stopping VOIP traffic. It is not really a broadband service, it is more like a regulated network.
