Rite had my ps2 vertical for years and down the line it suffered and broke, so now I have my 360 horizontal for fear of the same thing happening, but i'd love to have it upright to save space.
I've heard of a guy who had his vertical and the games stoped working but when he popped it back on its side it started working again?!
So I just wanna no what peoples opinions are on what way they put there xbox 360 and if they've had any problems or not?!

Horizontal for me. Don't trust it to last standing up

The potential issue with having is vertical (as with most disc players) is that if the disc may not be completly in the holder and the laser may have trouble reading it.
When you have the device in a horizontal position gravity helps the disc sit neatly in the holder so there is less chance of issues.
That said I have mi Xbox Vertically for aces now and rarely a problem, I dont see how having it like that would be the root cause of any major issues over time.
The guy who heard of would have been having the issue I menioned above.
To be honest though, I think having it horixontal is better for all.

whatever about the "vertical reduces reliability" argument I have mine horizontal for fear of it falling/getting knocked over and scratching whatever game is in it ;)

Verticle, only cos I have no room to place it horizontal.

    Vertical since day 1.
No bother, all that vertical and disc not reading is crap....

BTW anyone know does the 360 have a motion sensor??
If not then how come when its vertical the upper left corner of the ring of light is lit for player 1, and if its horizontal it changes.....wellllll.....

If it does use a sensor for that then maybe MS should use it to stop drives spinning when it detects movement...ie no scratching discs
