Is it possible to see who has been looking at your website?

for example if i had a registered webpage would i be able to see a history or something to see who had 'hit' my website?

is there a way of seeing what isp address has looked at it?

and then is there a way of seeing where the isp address is and who it is registered to?

    many thanks :)

Yeah, most decent webspace providers will have an IP history list of people who've visited your website, for example, Brinkster (the company I use) when you ask them to will give you full access to a file that details all individual IP addresses to have hit your site since.. whenever you like really!. Get in touch with your webhoster.

Get yourself a counter from www.gostats.com, they track broswers, country, the IP, the refering link, most stats you could want for free.

    Yes and no.

For example if I visited ur site all you would be able to tell from my ip address is that I'm a IBB customer. You wouldn't know what company I worked for.

Having said that, some ip addresses would be obvious as to where I worked. If I worked in microsoft and viewed your site then, my ip address would be registered to microsoft.

Try www.statcounter.com free and very extensive stats results showing map of geo location of visitor, time, type of browser, i.p. and a lot more...

    :)

edit: Plus it's an 'Irish' based service - least the owner is :)
