Where to buy iAudio/iRiver/Creative players?

    Hiya

Have finally decided on the creative zen media player, liked the iaudio X5 and iriver models but the reviews are more convincing on the zen. Live in Cork and the number of outlets selling media players is small and they all seem overpriced. Want to get an idea of best places or web sites to buy new and if there is a problem did they sort it.

    How are Komplett or shopireland?

two years ago brought a Hi-FI in munster sounds in Cork, local supplier. Looked at lots of different options for the same equipment and could have brought cheaper up north or from the internet. The CD player started to give a chirp sound when it played CD’s within a few months, brought back and they sorted it straight away, no hassle, no question. Reading about different media players they all have there faults, in my experience chasing after some nameless internet dealer is time consuming and can be frustrating, (the dreaded email tennis), so going to stick to the local supplier, may spend a little more but have good back up. Going to get the zen vision M next week.

Just found out my brother is going to america in 2 weeks. Anyone know if its a good idea to see if he can get my an Iaudio x5 when he's over there?
Would it even be any cheaper or would it just be hassle?

It should be cheaper but be carefull bring it back as you should pay duty at customs.

Not if it is a pressie. Open it like it was being used. Only customs worry would be if you had 50 of them or something.

It will be far cheaper in the states, you can buy from a US store and have delivered to his hotel.

Present or not duty still applys. A customs rep. was on Today FM discussing recently, saying you must declare over the a certain value.
