    Hey all,

I have a major problem here, basically i have to "Ghost" 4 different Windows OS on my Pc, no problem or so i thought.
Basically in my days of a software tester this was common for me. Now my problem is: in the old days doing this i had a simple floppy disk with a "ghost.exe" on it i simply slapped it in, ran it from DOS and it launched the program and i simply saved the image to another drive.

Where do i get this version of ghost from, anything i look up on the net is Norton ghost and can be launched in windows as well as copying an image, plus i can only get a 14 day trial without paying and i am weary even this won't work.
I don't think the version we used in work before was even a Norton version.

Can anybody help me out here, i am doing a private project here and i really need this

    Cheers

Norton Ghost is whats known as Ghost these days, currently on version 10. Its a pretty good tool, fast and high compression.

Most disk imaging tools out there today do the business from within Windows. Ghost even requires you have the .NET framework installed, though I suspect that thats for everything bar the lowlevel stuff. Hell, you can even image to the same drive you are making the image of!

The one mainly seen as the competitor to Ghost is Acronis True Image. Again, this one an be run from within Windows and looks pretty neat. I haven't had a lot of experience with it, though, so can't really say much more than that.
