Sepultura and In Flames.

So, next tuesday is the big day of happiness.
I have just started listening to In Flames now, seems like I'll have a good time at them anyway, bring on Sepultura!
Ratamahatta and such.
Finally get to see them.
Which of you boardsers will be attending too?

In Flames will rock, its just Sepultura I have a question about, I mean Derrick Green has been with the band now 10 yrs and he is still reffered to by fans as the new guy. Its like he just cant replace Max, no matter what the band do and say, and as if no matter what happens people are just enevitably waiting for the chance for Max to come back.

Oh well, I hear Fred Durst lost his job recently, maybe he can come back and jam on some tracks with the lads again

Really enjoyed Soulfly a couple of weeks ago, so it'll be good to see the other side again! They were really good the last time they played, so hoping it'll be as good.. Derrick was great the last time too, really good front man!

Hardly anyone I know is going though - most of them would have been fans of both bands in the past, but aren't anymore for different reasons.

Derrick is a much better vocalist than Max. I was at the gig in TBMC last month and while it was highly enjoyable Max's vocals ain't what they used to be. Don't even get me started on his lyrics these days!!
Dante is brilliant and from what i have heard Seps have been tearing it up at every show so far on the tour. Can't wait until next week anyways! I will probably be giving out sepultura stickers after the gig.
Oh anybody on here pick up Dante yet, It is one Beast of an album!!go buy!!!

cant bleedin wait,dante is amazing so it should be class hearing it live,its a pitty that iggor wont be there but it will still be cool,im just glad roy isnt permanent,as for in flames i couldnt really be bothered to be honest,they aint the best and the latest stuff is terrible,Sepultura should wipe the floor with them

It sold out a while back, I think. It should be good. I have only been to the ambassador once, just there for Belle & Sebastian, but it seems like a class place for it.

i just found out that i am on the guest list!!!! Now that is ****nig class, never been on the guestlist at a proper show, does that mean i get in for free?

Sweet as a nut! I am so excited about this. My favorite band, its just a pity they are supporting, though from whats being said over on the official boards they are gonig out playing really really intense sets.

Guys is it possible to get into the standing area in the Ambassador, with a seating ticket.

All I could get was a seating ticket and the thought of sitting this gig out is killing me. So basically can you sneak into the standing area?

If the place wasn't sold out they might have let you in the standing area,you could always give the ticket guy 20euro or something to see could it work

Just been talking to a guy who said to go downstairs for a smoke and just walk into the standing area on the way back in...Hopefully that could be a plan.

Can't wait for this gig! In Flames are one of my favourite bands. I'm driving there and back in one night from Galway. Curse whoever decided to schedule it on a Tuesday! My boss is going to love me when I stagger in on Wednesday morning. Hopefully the pit won't be too brutal

Woah yes! Can't wait to see In Flames! Hopefully they'll play mainly their old stuff although I have a feeling that they will be playing alot of stuff on the new album. It should still rock though!

Sepultura should be pretty good also, I'm hoping for a good bit of Chaos AD to be chugged out!

IN FLAMES bassist Peter Iwers has posted the following message at the band's official website:

"Dublin - Ireland - Ohoy Sailors. We are in Dublin now for the first time ever and it's great to be here. You would think that I would take this opportunity to get out and see stuff, but I've actually spent the entire day in my hotel room. Enjoying some private time for a change, but tomorrow I'll be out and check things out. I've heard a lot of things about shows in Ireland, and I really hope that tomorrow's sold-out show will be as great as all those rumours promises. But I think so. This whole tour has been amazing like I said before, and our first time as headliners on a UK-tour is working out really well so far as well. The shows have been crazy. One time, (at bandcamp) we went to the pub (of course) to watch some soccer with our friends in SEPULTURA. Of course the game was cancelled due to rain, so we decided to start a FIFA tournament on the x-box instead. So far only a few games have been played but hell what everybody gets wired up around this. Hehe… me too. That's it for now my friends."

What a gig,Sepultura ruled the roost tonight,made a show of in flames,got to meet the boys as well and got a pleck off andreas,great gig,one of the best iv been to

Hrm, afraid I can't agree with you there Gintonious, however that may have something to do with me not knowing much of Sepulturas material. On the other hand I'm a big fan of In Flames and they put on a fantastic show imho.

I don't know about that... I thought In Flames were very very tight. And Behind Space blew the place apart. I couldn't get over how good In Flames' sound was, especially as it was in the Ambassador. Sepultura were good, but in my opinion In Flames put on a show that most wouldn't be able to put on in the Ambassador.

Great show altogether. Well worth the €30.

Indeed, not only was the overall sound great but I also must say Anders sounded fantastic live too. I was a bit sceptical after watching a few live videos but I was definitly pleasantly surprised.
