Does anyone know is it easy to get tickets for big gigs in the tbmc from ppl outside the gig? I'm not encouraging touting or anything, just really wanna go!

Go early and look for someone nice enough to sell at face value. Slim changes

I could happen. But of all the big-ish venues TBMC is the one I haven't seen much of that kind of thing at.

A better question is what is veryone going to do when the gig finishes. Is on holy Thursday so all the bars and clubs will be shut at 12

The touts will be out in force for this gig. I'd say your best bet is to keep and eye on the buy and sell and ebay.

Is it sold out? Would this be the best gig to go to for atmosphere and stuff or would I better off be going to Belfast or Cork? Kind of basing this on where I will get on really, I'm not 18 for another month, but I do look it I think.

Repli, the way to handle this is just ask everyone discreetly if they're selling tickets. Wait till the queue is away and in the venue and then do your work. Keep an eye on the touts aswell, probably best to move out of their path in order to disassociate yourself from them.

Most people out there are good-natured and don't want to fúck you over by charging higher than face, and will avoid selling their spares to touts if possible. Even at that, you'd be surprised the number of people who walk into gigs with spare tickets, although this is more common at gigs that don't sell out.

People flake out all the time. There's usually a person or people who will end up having four or five tickets handy on the night. You'll just need to keep alert on the night before the gig.

Yes happens all the time, check here on boards for people offering last minute tickets for gigs, this happens a lot. Unfortunately the for sale forum rules mean you can be banned when trying to sell last minute tickets if you send people phonenumbers at the same time or post phone numbers saying you will not have access to a PC. I suggested a change which is going nowhere, with no reasonable explanation why.

Here is a thread I started on tips for dealing with touts (which turned into a sh!tfest at the end with ignorant arseholes claiming I was a tout)

Best bet at TBMC is going up and asking the bouncers if tickets are still on sale, then ask them if they will point people in your direction. Then just hang around the bouncers, people will often go up and try to sell back to the box office rather than a tout. the bouncers will point them to you.
