was wwoofing in Australia. I only got to 2 places. The first was alright and 2nd was brilliant. It's a bit of a gamble. I think it's a great idea and I'm really interested in permaculture and being self sufficient. If you do do it try to organise it with the farm a few weeks before cos often they already have someone and ask what kind of work you'll be doing. I wasn't really happy to be washing somebody's car in the 1st one cos I wanted to learn about the farm but that might be ok with you.

    Good luck!

    Nicola

    Hey Nicola,

So did you apply for the Aussie visa first & then apply for wwoofing? Do you know if there are any websites recommending/warning against certain farms?
(I know they do that for the JET programme, where people are warned against going to certain prefectures in Japan)

Got the aussie visa first, then got wwoof application, no hassle for either. Couldnt find any recommendations or warning anywhere, there didnt seem to be any on the website. BUt would recommend staying in a place in Cooroy near Noosa, with a woman named Tanya. It was great there

I did in Oz too. I had been there for about 4 months when someone told me about it. I just went in to one of the backpacker places and signed up. Its cheaper if you join as a duo but you have to then travel with people.

I only went to a couple of places but i really enjoyed it.
