digibox EPG - newbie

    Hi guys

    I have recently purchased a second hand grundig digibox without card. I have had FTA receiver for a few years but now want the sky epg. The problem is that I seem to be stuck with a ROI epg, and have no access on epg to BBC 3, 4 and ITV 1,2,3 and 4.
    Will the digibox eventually "forget" about the ROI epg and default to uk epg. I have updated software and reinstalled from service menu but am still stuck with ROI EPG...Any help/tips would be greatly appreciated

    if you go to Lyngsat website and look up all the frequencies for the FTA channels on 28.2 degrees you can input them into the sky digibox under OTHER CHANNELS-if there is an old sky card in the box remove it and you may not even have to input all frequencies..
    give it a go and see what happens

    I have the channels under services other channels, just wondering IF I can get rid of the ROI EPG..or will teh digibox forget about it eventually, as I have no card..

    i tried that on an old sky box on friday and after i took out the old card and turned power off for a few mins it came on with the uk epg (bbc london, itv 2, 3, 4, etc). but there is a chance this box may have been bought in armagh before sky digital started here, so this may have something to do with it....
    i was hoping to keep the box as a second fta box but the guy wants it back..
    gonna look for a cheap one-
    hope you get on ok..
