Summer jobs

I'm currently tearing my hair out and bleeding from the eyes with frustration, trying to find a place to work for the summer. I would LIKE to work somewhere sciencey and/or media/journalism related, but all the good jobs are taken. So it looks like I'll be filing my way through the summer months, if I even manage that. Now is the time to apply, because once Trinity term starts I'll be too busy to even think about jobs.

And yes, I am subscribed to that SU jobs list, but meh, there are rarely any good jobs on that.

Where are you guys gonna work this summer? Got any suggestions for me?

What is CTYI? Is that the DCU thing? Does anyone have the e-mail address to apply to for the DCU teaching assistant job? (I deleted the e-mail from TCD jobs by mistake :o )

I have an interview next week too. I hope it goes well. It's the first time I've ever had a job interview.

Hmm perhaps Im (there are no working apostrophies on these bloody Macs, or semi_colons or hyphens, and y and z are reversed) luckier than I thought. My old manager in Xtra(hyphen)vision has called me asking me to come back twice now. All I have to do to get the job is call her back, I think. Now maybe I should.

Dønal, tell ISS the macs in the basement of the Arts Block are sh*te and not working. At least not for me. Bloody hell.

Good luck everyone going for CTYI jobs!

Andrew just found out today that he's teaching the Journalism class for Session 2! I'm going to be working behind the desk in the office again; Neil are you going to back too? And if a few of you get jobs there too, we could have a boards takeover!

hmmm, summer jobs. i've been kinda busy studying and prcrastinating study for the summer exams that i forgot about Life After Exams.

i think it'll be the 3 Fs for me this summer; filing, f(ph)otocopying and faxing.

i nearly applied for that job in Spain/ Bilbao/Basque country, teaching drama and art to kids but you only get 600eur for the month, and the flights would probably work out at 200eur, still would be a fun experience considering i'd have to elarn a whole new language :)
