Converting i-tunes M4P files to MP3

Just wondering, I bought a load of music on itunes this evening with the intention of listening to it on my MP3 player.

Ive just realised though that downloading from itunes means they arrive in M4P format which isnt easily converted to MP3.

So.. I burned a CD with the music on it, and ripped it back to my PC.. BUT..Ive lost all the song names etc.

I dont plan on retyping the album info everytime I buy something from i-tunes so can you tell me is there an easier way to do it?

I think when Windows Media Player is connected to the internet it can automatically retrieve file names, artist names, song names, album names, genre and all that.

Try playing them in windows media player for a while and see what happens

iTunes should do this for you too. If it hasn't been set to automatically get track names just go to the "Advanced" menu and "Get CD Track Names" (guess what that does! :p )

CDex can do it too. before you rip the cd you press a button and it conects to the internet and retrieves the names
