Heh. Tried this once already and looks like something ate up and vomited my thread onto the information supermotorway. So long as they're keeping under 100km/hr I suppose they'll be ok...

So. Anyone else out there using Windows MCE with their 360 ?

I setup a box with MCE last week and am really enjoying being able to stream DivX to my 360 (using Transcode360).

A DVB-S card is on the way and I'll be hooking the MCE box up to my satellite dish this week. Hopefully it'll give me BBC1-4 and ITV1-4 on a PVR-type system. Anyone else got a DVB-S card in their setup ? Anything I should prepare for ? (or should it just be a matter of telling Windows I'm in the UK ?)

One question I have though: I'm using an 802.11g network to connect the 360 to my LAN. Nothing else on that network (everything else is 802.11b and using another set of access points).
All the recommendations appear to be recommending 802.11a.
Why ? Does that particular protocol provide better streaming or something ?

a, has a better freq then g, or b, as everything in your house emmits g/b waves, like wireless phones, microwaves etc.. so your connection will prolly stay at a more stable level on an a network, as streaming media is a big job, the less chance of interference, the better. AFAIK
