just to see what people think - ..

Its going quite well so far but id like to see the final sessions top 10 decided on aggregate from the 1st two sessions...then on race day make it mandatory for everyone to start on full tanks - we would see greater tyre and brake wear and therefore better racing. They need to reduce the aerodynamics not the engine sizes imo.

It's more exciting without a doubt but it is still a bit confusing and just looks plain weird when you see someone 1.5 seconds faster of someone being 11th while slower guy is 10th, if people didn't know system and didn't know better then they would be very confused

I think it's fine leave it for the rest of the year. The final session is always busy and it's building up tension all the time. Teams are forced to drive fast and try and save fuel at the same time watch the clever drivers they follow other cars to reduce the amount of fuel used and therefore gain more in fuel credits for the race each driver will recieve 2.8kg's for each lap completed in the 110% time rule. If you use less than 2.8kg's you gain. I don't find it boring at all anywhere except during breaks.

I think since qualifying has been done with race fuel it has lost a certain edge.

Nowadays the fastest man isn't on the pole. It's generally the guy who's comprimsed his race to get up the grid.

Why not just put it back to pissing around with no fuel for the last session? The man who's on pole?! Funnily enough, the fastest driver of the day!

The format is fine, but I hate the 'holding pattern' for the first 10 minutes. If the Fia got rid of the engine penalty rule the teams would open them up a bit to burn more fuel off, that might make it a bit better. At the momoent the engine penalty rule is ruining it.

A change is as good as a holiday i say, sure going on past experience they will have a new set of rules next year and we'll all be confused again!

    Hi all! Newby here.

I think the new system works pretty well apart from the burning off fuel part of the 3rd session - why not just have them declare what fuel they'll be starting with and then let them qualify on low fuel? The environmentalists will be picking up on the wasting of so much fuel soon...

    That's a good idea.
