I recently purchased a laptop with 1.86GHz processor and 512MB RAM. I am conected to Smart Broadband which they say is running at 3mb download. I am trying to stream live feeds of sports from the net. The quality is ok but not great and I was wondering what I can do to help improve the quality of the stream.

    Thanks

Nothing really the problem is the network link in between unless their is something wrong with your connnection.

If you are getting connection problems to the streaming media server then you could try tweaking WMP go into Tools->Options->Performance

    Choose connection speed:
    DSL Cable (384 Kbps)

    Networking buffering:
    Buffer 15 seconds of content

See how it plays after that, also be aware some sites require you to select a certain quality stream like 100k, 300k, 500k etc.

Thanks 8T8, my connection is fine so it must be the network link in between.
