Maximo Park are coming, Yes here's the link. (official website)

Also The Proclaimers are playing T in The Park, so there's a good chance they will be coming too,

Ps. If anyone is looking to buy tickets from Ebay etc, I would reccommend they get them now, before the prices go up, and they will rocket, once people realise no more will go on sale.

except more will go on sale...

I'm in the "well duh, more tickets are going to go on sale, MCD do this every year" camp but did they do it with the same publicity in previous years? I remember getting my tickets in May or so last year, but I never checked for them in the first few weeks so I don't know if MCD tried this stunt with the same level of publicity.

By that I mean the way it's been on RTE a few times saying that they're all sold out.

Despite pondering this, I have no intention of paying MORE than 160 euro for the weekend ticket so I'm not exactly panicking either way. :)

    Oxegen is SOLD OUT.

The prices of tickets will fall closer to the time as the market gets flooded. So many people thought theyd try cover their own ticket by becoming a filthy tout.. thats why its sold out.

They played 2002, 2003 and 2004 but at least this time they'll actually have new material to play unlike the last 2 gigs.

Just cause you don't like them doesn't mean that nobody else does. Fair play to them if they want to come and play for their Irish fans. Blame NIN and Pearl Jam for not coming over, don't blame RHCP because they're actually giving the fans what they want.

Well that is a fair point I have to say.

BigWilly, I don't actually mind them playing, I'm just sick of them. went to see them twice and was disapointed twice (Landsdown gig and Slane).
I blame no-one but PJ and NIN for not playing in Ireland, hopefully this will change soon though... I just hope it's not at a festival and instead at a oneband gig

chk chk chk is !!!. You pronounce their name as any syllable you want repeated three times. Like boom boom boom or pow pow pow or wip wip wip or bing bing bing. I'd love to see them live but I'm bypassing oxegen.
