They cant... PMPA went bust after the last Sub they insured turned out to have a live warhead in the tube.. shortly after sending out a renewal letter to the owner they were suddenly targeted in a freak "act of God"

It is a seriosuly impressive machine alright!.

The tyres look like the one they have on the loading shovels on the quarries so they shouldnt be that hard to find (although probably not for less than 2k each...)

If you brought the submarine back through your hand luggage, you might be able to avoid paying import tax.

Once you had it in a pond in your back garden, if you knew any inspectors were calling around, you could simply make sure it went 20,000 leagues under the pond.
