I dont have a phone line in my house because I refuse to pay eircom the connection fee, plus a monthly line rental for something I will never use. I have a mobile so dont need a landline.

I called NTL to get their cable broadband but they said my apartment isnt connected with the right type of cable, although I can get digital (which I dont understand) ...does anyone know of any other service I can try that doesnt require a landline.

Digiweb Metro is good. Clearwire is good if all you need is web and email and nothing else. All are wireless and do not require ingorant aerial installations .

Vodafone 3g , unlimited data for about €120 a month at 380k or so.

Stay away from IBB especially their Ripwave crap
