Ireland, Worst Public Transport in Europe?

    Honestly, I cannot think of one country in Western Europe which does not have far better public transport than this country. In many cases they also do it with far lower public subsidies and less capital investment and smaller fleets of buses and trains. Even most Eastern European countries blow Ireland out of the water.

    Anytime I go away and come back I am constantly stuck by how utterly meaningless our public transport is (with the exception of Luas). It seems to just be buses and trains meandering around the place with services completely detached from the society and economy around it.

    What about Iceland?

    These same **** and now demanding that Luas be joined up. This is and never was the fault or the Luas and the RPA who designed the system.

    The Luas is the only piece of 21st century public transport infrastruture currently operating in Ireland. That's just a fact.
