i would just like to say that 'dime bar' chose an apt screen name, it is clear that he is life unworthy of life, i have witnessed more intelligent creatures dead on their backs floating in stagnant water, he is obviously seriously ill and should be pitied, or should be awarded an O.B.E (one behind the ear) and if you don't know what i mean by that i will gladly give you a clue....

    "BANG !"

Nothing to see here folks, move along...

PSGuard Hijacker, I think it was, has left boards.

I got totally sucked in by this idiot last night, i'm not much of a computer wizz, i access boards from time to time for stimulating, intellectual conversation, as i'm sure many others do. However the grotty individual concerned started a thread 'My opinion of boards.ie' and at the beginning of his posting he urged viewers to access a link before reading his message.
when clicked you were bombarded with an avalanche of the most disturbing images i have ever witnessed anywhere, on the web or in the real world.
It is such a shame that any individual could abuse his knowledge of computers and the web in this way, because he had a problem with boards, or an individual moderator working on boards.
as i have already mentioned he should be pitied, he is obvoiusly very very very ill and needs treatment.
I guess it was the oldest trick in the book, and i fell for it hook line and sinker, but perhaps i have too much faith in humanity. I do believe though, that humanity itself could be infinitely improved by removing this little insignificant part of it that calls himself 'dime bar'
I certainly would not miss him.......

    sad sad grotty little man...........

compliments to the mods for their fast action in removing this 'cockroach'

Oh, I see. I have seen these type of pictures. 'Wikipedia', has infact a page about it, as seen below.

Pfft. Try going on IRC and resisting the urge to click. It's impossible not to get trapped by people putting that same link up all the time. You just have to know how to deal with it so that those images don't come up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,061 ✭✭✭✭Terry

ah yes. someone did something similar the other night. it was a long time member too. 3 or 4 years if i recall correctly.
i clicked the link, but (thankfully) firefox wouldn't open the page.
apparently it also accesses your address book and sends out e-mails to all your contacts.
it's a sad day when you have to check the properties of a link before clicking on it, especially when the link is posted by a long time member.

    Basically last measure pages...

He had one on his "dead mother", and then some on why there should be a board for people to meet up.

His links were posted up like a link to boards.ie addy, but led to some scat last measure's...You didn't miss much if you didn't see it ;)

there are no pictures in that link. just descriptions of the pictures.
firefox is pretty good, insofar as it shows the location of the link at the bottom of the page if you point your mouse at the link.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,391 ✭✭✭arbeitsscheuer

IE shows the same at the bottom of its browser window, but I just didn't think before clickin' last night - it just doesn't cross your mind that someone would make up such an elaborate deception purely to show you an avalanche of disturbing pics tbh... And why would it?!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 81,220 ✭✭✭✭biko

He wrote something about wanting a dating forum and how this post was so sad or summat. I was using Firefox but still the images came.

Slammed on the brakes and ran my AV's and anti-spy SW and was up and running again in minutes.

Mr Dime, if you are reading this unregged - you are a sad git!

i read somewhere that this bubbles guy attends the boards beers.
does he not fear retribution from those whose pc's he has fucked up?
not a threat. just an observation.

Ah Julep, were you caught out on his last posting - "i did it again, and ill do it again":D
Mind you that was an even quicker erasing of the thread than even the last time :) How much sh1te he/ she goes to write each time - and only for it to get wiped instantaneosly :D:D:D ha ha ha
