your favourite childhood tv show

    Hello there,

this morning I got up unusually early (for a job interview) and while having my porridge I flicked through the programs on telly.

To my surprise there was She Ra the princess of power on, and I just had to laugh. I used to love that show when I was a child and hadn't come across it for ages. I just thought it's all so droll and really cute and so on. I think I had a smile on my face for the rest of the day (interview went well btw).

So, I was wondering what your favourite show was when you were a child and what you think of them now....and if it's still broadcasted.
    :)

Fox Kids show all the oldies from when I was a kid, loved watching Thundercat’s, Transformers, Ulysses 31, Visionaries, centurions, but recently I turned the channel to see Ulysses on Fox and it brought back a lot of memories, had a good laugh.

Suzy and the Sex Goblins was a favourite of Pigheads. Every Saturday morning at 9.25 you'd find me jumping out of bed to catch the latest installment of the once great kids programme.

    bravestar
    Dungeons and dragons
    Cops (cartoon)
    he-Man

On another note, does anyone remember that Children Fantasy/horror series that used to on years ago.
I dont know if it was set in Australia or New Zealand. Anyway, there where these two kids, girl and a boy and a old man. The two kids had stones that glowed.

There was also a island that had a big house on it. There were these bad guys that lived there, they would walk under the water and come ashore. They wore dark suits. Also there were these Jellyfish type swamp things on the island aswell

Im probably remembering it all wrong, does anyone know what this was called

Thats it mate, thanks. The amount of times ive been trying to describe this to people down the pub and they are sitting there with blank faces with open jaws.

"Two teenage twin siblings, Rachel and Theo, on a summer vacation in Aukland visiting their aunt and uncle, meet a certain Mr. Jones, a mysterious man who helped find them when they got lost in the woods eight years earlier. Mr. Jones turns out to be an alien fighter from a distant planet who wants their help in fighting an alien giant slug family of eight members led by a certain Mr. Wilberforce who have arrived on Earth with plans for world domination"

    ****ing classic

    Useless trivia of the day:

Uncle Phil from the fresh prince of bel air, also done the voice of shredder from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

    My favs were:

    He-man

Thundercats - I remember writing a story in High Infants stating that Wednesday was my favourite day of the week because Thundercats was on that day.

Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles - On a wet day the whole school stayed in the main hall to watch the first episode of the Turtles. Great memories.

Others, that weren't all that great, but I watched anyway were:

    Count Duckula
Trapdoor - dont dare open that trapdoor.....coz there's something down there

Fun House - with Pat Sharpe.

If you don't live near the border you might not have got some of those shows before sky and cable.

    Ducktales, i think.

The millionaire duck was called Scrooge McDuck, they lived in duckberg [notice a pattern] and all of his business success stemmed from his 'lucky dime'. the first dime he had ever earned.
Was also fond of going swimming in his money filled vault.

I bought the game for the Nintendo(just the normal nintendo), well my mother did for my birthday after I saw it on Gamesmaster and it cost £50 at the time, which was a fortune. This was a brilliant show.

Ducktales! Woo Hoo.......... Tales of daring new bad and good luck tales
