A combination of ebay and gemm.com should give you some indication.

    it very much depends....

www.ebay.com and gemm.com will help you get a rough idea of what a record is worth if it's sought after or rare, generally a second hand dealer buying records off you would pay no more than €1 per plate of vinyl... and even then would probably turn his or her nose at a lot of things for which there simply mightn't be a market...

bear in mind a lot of quite sought ofter lp's have been repressed recently which always drives down the value of even a mint condition original pressing...

having said that, if you have a load of old motown and stax 45's then you should be aware that a lot of them go for three figure sums on ebay...

don't make the mistake of thinking that because a record wasn't very popular a when you bought it that it hasn't acquired a cult status since either....

what kind of stuff is it you're looking to get a price on?

Record Collector magazine might be a good starting point.
