ANyone have any ideas of a good alternative to Oxegen, what's the name of that big one in Spain?, me and my mates might "do Europe" and take in some Rock Gods under the late-night sun.

Depends on the sort of thing you want. Reading is easy to get to. 40 minute flight to Heathrow and a bus straight to Reading from the Airport and a 20 minute walk down a hill. Its kinda the same atmosphere as Oxegen with a relatively young crowd and mixed music with a slightly more rock vibe to the third day. Its also much better organised. You'll have to manage to convince people to be ready to buy tickets on the day they go on sale though as it goes within a few hours these days. Dunno how much it costs these days but I think its probably around 190 euro for the 3 day ticket. Flight should be only 45 quid if you book soon after. Youd pay the same to a tout for oxegen.

If you want something more eclectic and chilled probably Roskilde would be an option then. 4 Days in Denmark. Ticket is about 195 euro and flights are around 180 at the moment.

If you want something more specific (ie a metalfest or a dancefest) then go for one of the things already mentioned.

I'm going to a festival in Budapest in August called Tzeiget , or something along those lines (give me a second to look it up). Ah yes, it's called Sziget. The line up so far includes Robert Plant and Franz Ferdinand. I also heard that Radiohead were going to play.
