A player i regularly see on my stt games, and i chat to now and again offered to share his Plaer notes with me, if i shared mine with him. i declined the offer as i dont think i would trust other players notes. and i have enough as it is. The player in question i would rate as good player and certantly puts in alot of hours online and i have seen him around for at least 3 months.
Anyway my question is does anyone regard this as a form of collusion. and would you have accepted this offer.

My problem with sharing player notes....

Although i have never shared player notes online i have confided in a good player at my local card room when a new player was at the final table of a tourney i was in.My friend informed me that the new guy was a complete fish and will go all in and overbet on missed flops.

After flopping 2nd pair on the board after raising preflop against this "fish" i took my friends advice and called the all in after the other guys massive over bet on the flop.Anyone else i wouldve laid this hand down but because my friend had played with this guy a good number of times so i decided to trust him.

I crashed out as he had top pair.Never again will i alter my playing style on someone elses advice.

As for your question on collusion,I dont believe it can be classed as collusion as the player might have altered his playing style for the day you play him and suddenly all of your reads are wrong.Get Pokertracker if you want REAL evidence on how a player plays.

A common problem with player notes is that the majority of them are written just after suffering a beat to the player in question.Usually the note consists of "donkey" or some other abuse which perhaps sets you up for a false sense of security when getting involved in a hand with this player.

I'd still swap the player notes...but be wary of trusting them 100%
